**Full Job Description**

Commercial Cleaners required for a busy cleaning business in Taranaki

**Our commercial cleaning company**provides the most reliable and affordable cleaning solutions so that offices and commercial buildings.

Commercial cleaners clean, dust, scrub, wipe and polish floors, furniture, fixtures and machinery. The also remove any rubbish from the site.

Work locations are commercial, industrial or residential properties, including schools,

offices, hospitals etc.

Suits people who are physically fit and who have a systematic and meticulous approach to tasks.

**Commercial Cleaner Skills and Qualifications**

Successful commercial cleaners take pride in their work. Other important skills for aspiring commercial cleaners to possess include:

- Trustworthiness
- with access to many rooms, stores, desks, and the like (and often at times when others arent around), commercial cleaners must be honest
- Attention to detail
- fully examining what youre doing ensures spots arent missed and every area receives proper treatment
- Teamwork
- tasks are sometimes performed with others, so good collaboration builds morale and boosts productivity
- Time management
- commercial cleaners must maintain an awareness of what needs to be done and when
- Ability to take direction
- listening to instructions from a manager or client and following them is important
- Physical stamina
- cleaning involves bending, lifting, and spending long periods of time standing
- Able to work rostered shifts (some shifts start at 5am and finish at 10am while some start at 6pm and finish at 11pm)
- Must have valid NZ class 1 licence or overseas equivalent licence.

Day-to-day
- empty containers, bins and remove rubbish and recyclable material
- operate industrial vacuum cleaners to clean floors, work areas and machines
- remove dust and dirt from ceilings, walls, overhead pipes and fixtures
- strip wax from floors, re-wax and polish floors
- clean and disinfect wet areas and report on defective plumbing fixtures
- remove residues from machines
- replenish cleaning supplies.
