At RV Super Centre, we provide exceptional accessories for RV, camping, marine and outdoor enthusiasts. We're a part of Tourism Holdings Limited (thl) and we're looking for a dynamic, Merchandise Assistant to join our team

**The role**:
As our new Merchandise Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the Merchandise Analyst & Buyer in maintaining everything stock related. Through efficient replenishment ordering and receipting you will help to ensure all stores have the right stock at the right time, providing the Retail Sales Team what they need to meet their sales targets. You will help implement the Merchandise Analyst & Buyer's ranging and pricing strategies and your high attention to detail will ensure we can trust our stock levels are accurate. **Key Responsibilities**:

- Support the Merchandise Analyst & Buyer to maintain stock levels in stores, ensuring the right stock is in the right place, at the right time to optimise sales opportunities for our Retail Sales Team.
- Help prepare stock replenishment orders for approval,
- Receipt and reconcile deliveries against invoices
- Track backorders and record/communicate out of stocks to ensure our nationwide stock holdings are accurate,
- Reduce low stock risks and ensure the retail teams are informed
- Regularly review competitor pricing and present findings to the Merchandise Analyst & Buyer to identify opportunities or mitigate issues.
- Learn and become an expert in our inventory systems.
- Implement product pricing updates, as per the Merchandise Analyst & Buyers strategy, ensure accuracy across all systems
- Learn then drive the end-to-end Stocktake process, including variance investigation
- Work with the Merchandise Analyst & Buyer to continuously improvement stock optimisation and replenishment processes.
- Actively participate in the THL Health and Safety system and Sustainability Models
- Help prepare stock/sales data reports for the Merchandise Analyst & Buyer to review.
- Hit the ground running as we move to our new eCommerce system Shopify.
- Other duties as required.

**What we are looking for**:**
- 1+ years proven experience in Merchandise/Stock control in a retail environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a can-do attitude.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy are important to you.
- Advanced level Excel skills and proficient in Word / Outlook / Teams
- Experience with POS (Shopify) / Inventory (Unleashed Inventory) systems would be advantageous.
- Strong numerical and data aptitude
- Ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner.
- A customer driven focus.
- Collaborative working style and excellent communicator
- Ability to help across the business as and when required
- A hands-on approach to stock management when required

**Hours**:

- 40 hours per week, 8:30-5pm Monday-Friday.
