What you'll do with your time
The main aim of this
position is to assist
services and staff that work with people with dementia to move towards more Dementia Friendly models
of care and health environments.
Are you a registered health professional with a background
in dementia? Join our team on the West Coast where you will work in conjunction
with the South Island Walking in Another's Shoes Coordinator, and you will be
responsible for the implementation of the programme on the West Coast. In this

**role you will**:

- Deliver appropriate training/education to our staff in person centred dementia care
- Provide regular workplace visits across the West Coast

region
- Act as a resource and role model in clinical experience
- Provide evaluation data to the National Walking in Another's Shoes Office in CanterburyYou will have a current
APC and at least two years' experience in a field that
includes working with people living with dementia. A passion for great person-centre care, excellent
interpersonal skills and ability to motivate and support behavioural change
within complex environments is a must, alongside demonstrated clinical teaching
skills.
This is a 0.6FTE permanent
role based in Greymouth, with travel required across the West Coast region, and at times to
Canterbury.
