Maintenance Operator

A maintenance operator is required in Rakaia to manage and maintain horticultural machinery and plant.
**About the Role**:
Your primary responsibility is to minimise production downtime by ensuring our client's machines and operating equipment are managed and maintained. As needed, you'll inspect, diagnose, and repair faults, and you'll monitor key performance indicators to ensure and maintain plant reliability.
You'll also perform any other relevant duties as directed by the supervisor or manager.
- Perform routine inspection and maintenance of machinery and plant
- Fault-find and undertake repairs
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
**About You**:
You have sound mechanical knowledge and experience investigating problems and faults with machinery.
You're a practical person who uses initiative, is good at problem-solving and has high attention to detail. Capable of working unsupervised, you pride yourself on providing quality work while adhering to safe work practices.
A background in horticultural, manufacturing, or dairy farm environments is desirable. A limited electrical ticket would be desirable but not essential
- Basic welding skills

- Able to identify faults with machinery
