**As a Truck Driver, you will**:

- Be committed to maintaining high standards of Health & Safety Practices
- Drive long distances to deliver goods to customers.
- Have more than 1 year of relevant New Zealand experience driving heavy vehicles on open roads
- Be a punctual team player who can help out in the yard.
- Load/unload scrap metal using Gantry.
- Keep accurate records of deliveries and have an eye for detail.
- Refuel, keep the truck clean, carry out truck inspections and report any issues in a timely manner.
- Report road accidents/incidents to the dispatcher.
- Follow all New Zealand traffic laws
- Complete Eroad logbook daily.
- Keep all professional driver licenses up to date.
- Maintain a positive attitude with customers and co-workers.

**Skills and Experience Required**:

- Class 4/5 Truck Driving License and competence with driving a Truck and Gantry.
- Dangerous Goods license and HIAB experience.
- Familiar with Eroad, or similar travel tracking software.
- Work well with customers and others throughout the yards.
- Physically fit with the ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 20kg.
- Knowledge of yard safety rules and methods
- Time management skills
- Reliable and hardworking
- Strong communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Detail-oriented, strong organization skills and a high degree of accuracy with the ability to work independently.

**Qualifications**:

- Must hold a relevant driver's license.
- 3 years of secondary education is preferred.
- Useful experience in technical or vocational training
- Any tertiary qualification is desirable but not essential.

Alternate Saturday roster.

A minimum of 40 hours per week is guaranteed. This role will be permanent and full time.

Drug & Alcohol Testing is done for all new hires and random drug/alcohol testing is carried out on current staff to help keep our workspaces safe.
