Analyst -gmp Chemistry

**The opportunity**:
We are seeking an Analyst with raw material testing experience to join our GMP Chemistry team. Our team are responsible for performing independent or specialist analytical work.
You will be responsible for:
- Carrying out assigned tests in accordance with monograph methods and reporting results within contracted turnaround times,
- Discussing and working through any testing issues with more experienced Analysts and escalating problems to the Supervisor,
- Completing out of specification forms for results that do not fall within expected limits,
- Ordering chemicals and consumables as required for tests within your scope,
- Issuing delay notifications if results cannot be released within TAT,
- Providing advice and training to other laboratory staff once competency has been achieved and assessed,
- Answering internal and external customer queries with support from others in the team,
- Identifying areas of continuous improvement that will enhance the efficiency of the laboratory.
You will work closely with the operational team to maintain turnaround time compliance for all customers. This will involve routine testing and ensuring we have operational cover in key testing areas. Flexibility to work additional hours may be required.
The roster will require 1 day in the weekend. Our laboratory operates 7 days a week so flexibility to work overtime at short notice is ideal.
**About you**:
This role is perfect for those that hold a tertiary qualification in Science, majoring in Chemistry or Pharmacology. To be successful in this role you will:
- Hold current KTP status, if Analyst, or be working towards this
- Have sound understanding of AQ quality systems and policies
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure with proven teamwork experience
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Clear communication (both written and verbal)
- Reliable and motivated with a continuous improvement mindset
