Waitemata District is largest Health District in New Zealand, providing services to a population of approximately 680,000. We have five inpatient sites across the West and North of Auckland and stretching to the community in Rodney, we are committed to delivering the best care for everyone in our community.
As an innovative and forward thinking District Health Board, we are looking for experienced Health Care Assistants to join our highly dedicated and enthusiastic teams at North Shore Hospital. Your duties will be around assisting Registered Nurses with:

- Providing patients with personal care
- Keeping the ward and equipment clean, tidy and safely stored
- Storing and restocking supplies
- Directing enquiries and making beds
- Preparing patients for meals and documenting intake and output.

**The Health Care assistants we are looking for will have**:

- A strong motivation and genuine interest in helping others
- An overwhelming desire to go above and beyond
- A burning need be brilliant at what you do
- Dedication, honesty and reliability
- Reasonable physical fitness as these positions requires someone to stand and work for long periods of time
- Clean and smart personal presentation
- Lives locally and can work at North Shore Hospital
- Flexibility and able to work rostered shifts 7 days a week including weekends
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand (permanent residency / citizenship)
- Previous experience within a health care environment
