**About the Role**

The Quality & Compliance Auditor is a key member of the Technical/Compliance team and is responsible for ensuring our quality control and food safety programs are implemented effectively on site. Alongside the team the Quality & Compliance Auditor will be responsible for developing and maintaining our compliance, food safety and improvement plans.

This position is based at our Pacific site in Hastings and has flexible working hours to coincide with the different operating levels or shift patterns on site.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Completing audits to make sure that our site complies with food safety and product quality standards
- Contribute to quality, compliance, and food safety plan development
- Assist in investigations
- Play a key role in implementing and promoting quality and continuous improvement initiatives

**About You**
- Internal auditing qualification desirable but not essential and/or experience
- Previous experience within the food industry is desirable but not essential
- Ability to understand and retain the legal and legislative compliance conditions and issues applicable to the meat industry
- Capacity to analyse and interpret data, draw conclusions, and present information in a clear and concise manner
- Willingness to pitch in and help the team to ensure daily targets are met
- Successful experience with influencing others and proactively driving a strong culture that aligns with the Silver Fern Farms values - Unstoppable Together, Improving Tomorrow and Always Caring
- Highly effective communicator with excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills
