What does a Support Worker do?

Our Support Workers assist people who access our services to live as independently as possible, in their community. Support Workers are part of a team who work shifts or specific rosters providing 24/7 cover with responsibilities including aiding with personal care, community outings and integration, and other aspects of daily living - enabling our clients to be as independent as possible.

You will be somebody who really thrives off helping others and who is committed to upholding high standards of care. Empathy, respect, and cultural awareness is important in this role as the people we support come from diverse backgrounds with varying needs and interests.

We are seeking support workers who have experience in supporting young person with ADHD. The support workers we are looking for are easy going and are motivated and passionate about supporting youbg people. The client we have seeking support for has a quirky sense of humour and loves music while enjoys attending swimming, equine therapy and the library.

We are looking for the following:

- A desire to support young people to learn new skills and achieve their dreams
- Experience with ADHD
- Who is observant and excellent communication skills
- Enjoys having fun and being creative
- Prior experience supporting others with aspects of daily living, preferably those living with intellectual or physical disabilities
- Full driver's licence and confidence to safely transport passengers (training will be provided)
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts across a roster, including weekends
