**About the role**
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Livestock Supply Planner to join our team in Dunedin. Be responsible for running and facilitating the weekly and monthly livestock forecasting process integrating it into the overall company Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP). This role is pivotal in driving the livestock outlook and contexts as a key input and ensuring a robust S&OP plan is formulated and executed.
Take ownership of the livestock forecasting activities associated with suppliers, and use livestock forecast reports, business intelligence, and information gathered from regional livestock managers to understand the livestock pressures, farm conditions, and other drivers to provide key context for the planned process to determine stock mix across the plant network. Help to manage the regional allocation of space based on the forecasted livestock availability, while considering the pressures and conditions in each region to align with the company's strategy for the allocation period to handover to the livestock planning team to execute.
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving S&OP Process: Be responsible for driving the livestock planning process that is part of the overall Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process. They will collaborate with various stakeholders to gather and analyse relevant data, identify trends, and develop comprehensive plans that align sales and operations activities.
- Livestock Forecasting: Contribute and steer the livestock forecasting process, a critical aspect of strategic planning and decision-making in the business.
- Livestock Master Data: Champion the management of key livestock master data, which includes maintaining accurate and up-to-date information related to livestock.
- Projects and Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in projects and initiatives aimed at driving continuous improvement within the livestock space. They will identify areas for improvement, propose and implement process improvements, and monitor the outcomes.

You will have demonstrated experience been able to persuade and influence others and resolve issues with a high degree of certainty and consensus. A natural collaborator, with a strong ability to work cross-functionally to deliver business success. In addition;
- Experience in supply planning, preferably in the primary sector
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and provide insights to drive business decisions
- Knowledge of Excel and navigating supply planning tools
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across different teams and stakeholders
- Understanding of inventory management and demand planning processes
