You’ll be assisting the team with cable laying and construction, maintenance work and lifting of poles. You’ll also:

- Transport materials to and from sites and do site preparation and post-job clean-up
- Carry out hazard identification, underground obstructions and set up safe sites to relevant Safe Work Practices
- Perform manual labouring tasks like excavating, backfilling, equipment and cable installation
- Discuss worksite safety risks identified at the site with the supervisors and project managers and the effective controls to mitigate risks

**About you**
You’ll be working on a variety of exciting projects and be someone who enjoys getting stuck in to get the job done. You’re willing to proactively support the team to undertake work activities without being told. To be successful in this role, you will also have:

- Full class 2 essential, Class 4 would be preferable
- At least 2 years’ experience with labouring and be able to lift heavy weights up to 20Kg
- Wheels, Tracks and Rollers (WTR) with a forklift licence are an advantage, but not essential
- A great work attitude and willingness to be part of a diverse team along with a strong focus to health & safety
- Ability to work calmly under pressure and communicate well
