Downer holds a long-term Asset Management and Facilities Management contract with the New Zealand Defence Force. This involves the proactive management and delivery to the national portfolio of facilities including NZDF Ohakea, Linton, Waiouru and Burnham.

To support Downer’s operational delivery by.
- Working under the direction (direct or indirect) of your designated leader undertaking works related to the delivery of service and /or projects.
- Working within the parameters relevant to the work, e.g., time, materials, costs, resources.
- Promoting strong collaborative customer relationships with positive interactions and value adding activities
- Assisting skilled tradespeople carry out maintenance, repairs, and project work, which are to be completed promptly and efficiently.
- Undertake tasks as required from time to time, as determined by the Site Manager / Team Leader
- Working within, and assist with, risk and event management and mitigation guidelines.
- Escorting of sub-contractors, visitors, client, or any other authorised/ approved persons(s) as required.

- Drivers’ License, Manual class 1.
- Literate (ability to complete time and job sheets, and technical literacy to operate handheld electronic recording devices).
- Ability to plan jobs, operate and maintain equipment without supervision.
- Physically fit and the ability to perform manual labour tasks.
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Flexibility to work in different environments and adapt to changing priorities.
- Technical skills: Working knowledge of basic hand tools and power tools.
- Self-motivated, energetic, proactive, and results orientated.
