**He Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role**

An opportunity exists to join the Planned Care Services team at Te Whatu Ora, Health New Zealand Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty in this newly established position as the Outpatient Operational Coordinator.

This District Wide role provides the strategic planning and oversight to outpatient services that ensures optimisation of outpatient resources and supports excellent communication and co-ordination between surgical, women child and family and medical outpatients, clinical staff involved in rosters, booking staff and the Planned Care Services Team.

This is a full and varied role, and you will require excellent communication and coordination skills as well as a commitment to professional excellence.

To be suitable for this role it is important you have the following skills and attributes:

- Well-developed planning and organisational skills
- Proficient with patient management software, spreadsheets and databases
- Organised, high quality outputs and strong attention to detail
- Motivated, self-driven and solutions focused attitude

Alongside having the opportunity to contribute positively to the provision of planned care services for the growing Bay of Plenty population, you will be committed to a whole of system approach and be supportive of our people and their whānau.

A key focus of this role will be to ensure a culture of Manaakitanga, and a pro-equity approach is at the forefront when engaging with our people.

Proven experience as a people leader in a large complex organisation is required, experience in a health setting is desirable.
