**Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role**

We have an opportunity for an experienced clinical pharmacist to work in a full time role in the paediatric setting.

The paediatric pharmacist role provides a clinical pharmacy service to the paediatric inpatient areas, including formulating paediatric TPN prescriptions, providing patient and parent education and undertaking medication chart reviews. In addition, this role will provide support for outpatient paediatric prescribing, clinically check paediatric oncology prescriptions, assist with medication safety projects in the paediatric setting and provide regular education to prescribers. This position also provides some cover to the operational areas within pharmacy.

As part of the pharmacy clinical team, other responsibilities include contributing to the leadership and management of the Pharmacy service, supporting direct clinical and technical practice as well as involvement in teaching others, and participation in whole of service improvement.

The department encourages and supports professional development relevant to this role.

Applicants must be registered with the Pharmacy Council of New Zealand or be eligible for registration in New Zealand
