About the role

As the Principal Recruitment Advisor, you’ll work closely with the Recruitment Manager to drive, influence and implement strategic change and best practice across the Authority. This role will work collaboratively with Senior Leaders, the wider People team, and other internal and external stakeholders, providing high calibre recruitment and sourcing advice, project management and delivery of strategies to enable quality outcomes.
This newly created role will assist in coaching, mentoring and sharing knowledge and experience across the team and organisation, delivering operational excellence and providing high level recruitment advice and support.
This is a permanent position based in our Wellington office.
Ad hoc travel will be required.

What we’re looking for
- Sound recruitment and talent sourcing in-house experience at a Senior/Principal level
- Experience managing projects across the recruitment lifecycle or in the talent space with a focus on systems and business process improvement
- Excellent knowledge of the New Zealand recruitment market and trends
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with effective relationship and stakeholder management capabilities
- Strength in data analysis and reporting
- Experience diving and advocating for positive change
