**The Role**

The Timaru District Council is seeking one motivated and skilled individual for the Mower / Spraying Operator roles in our newly created team. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to our local environment by helping to keep our public space looking their best year-round

As a Mower / Spraying Operator, you will be responsible for the care and maintenance of lawns, gardens, and other greenspaces across the district. This includes operating a variety of powered equipment, such as ride-on mowers and tractors, to carry out mowing, edging, fertilising, and turf upkeep, as well as performing minor repairs when necessary.

Safety is a top priority. You will be expected to follow all relevant procedures, particularly when working in areas accessible to the public.

To be successful in this role, you will bring proven experience in Mowing and spraying operations, and be confident operating ride-on mowers, tractors, and spraying equipment. If you are safety-conscious and enjoy working outdoors as part of a team, we’d love to hear from you.
