**Clinical Facilitator - Community Pharmacist or Practice Nurse (**Kaiwhakahaere Rongoā)**
**Part-time, 16 hours per week, 12 months Fixed term**

**Ko tāu ake mahi | What you will be doing**
The Clinical Quality and Education (CQE) team design and deliver continuing education programmes to general practitioners, practice nurses, nurse practitioners and community pharmacists throughout Canterbury and Aotearoa NZ. The team consists of experienced registered health professionals, many of whom also work in clinical practice. The team supports primary healthcare teams by providing independent, robust, evidence-informed, equity-focussed education that encourages comparison of practice, discussion about variation, and teamwork. We do this through our flagship programme, the Pegasus Small Group education programme.
The Clinical Facilitator:
- Works within a team to research and create content for the Small Group education programme
- Reviews medicine and laboratory utilisation data and liaises with data analysts
- Develops clinical content to support primary care teams (topic bulletins, updates)
- Provides clinical input into advocacy issues affecting primary care
- Supports Small Group learning partnerships across Aotearoa NZ
- Supports Large Group education and other learning opportunities
- Supports clinical priorities and initiatives of the health system
**Ko ngā pūkenga ōu | What you will bring**
- Registered Community or Practice Nurse (current APC).
- Good understanding, and recently experience working in primary care (preferably you will continue to work in a clinical role).
- Sound literature searching and critical appraisal skills
- Experience interpreting and conveying quantitative information
- Excellent standard of written work and attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the inequities in health
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Enthusiastic and passionate about improving healthcare and keeping up with the most recent evidence
