**THE ROLE**:
Located at our offices in Ellerslie, with shifts running every Monday-Friday from 5pm-8pm, this permanent part-time job is ideal for people wanting to work a few hours a week.
There’s plenty of parking available and we also have a gym onsite
**THE PURPOSE**:
As an Outbound Telesales Consultant your responsibility is to increase subscription revenue by cross-selling subscribers and lapsed or cancelled subscribers of NZME’s publications. These will be predominantly residential but may include some business subscriptions. No cold calling required
**SKILLS REQUIRED**:
- Customer Solutions and Sales Ability:
You will be able to build rapport quickly and establish subscribers needs through effective questioning techniques and/or up-sell wherever possible.
- Results Orientated:
Motivation for personal achievement of results and success comes naturally to you; tenaciously working towards exceeding targets by continual improvement and performance excellence.
- Communication:
You are effective in both individual and group situations; clearly expressing ideas, correct grammar, and language and terminology; adjusting the language to the characteristics and needs of the audience.
- Resilience:
You handle disappointment and/or rejection while maintaining effectiveness and you do not let emotions take over in a difficult call. Maintain stability of performance under pressure and/or opposition. Use empathy and acknowledgement when dealing with upset or difficult customers.
- Contributor
Success for the wider team required everyone to be involved. You actively participate as a member of a team to move the team toward the completion of goals.
**EDUCATION & PROVEN SUCCESS REQUIRED**:
- Customer Service/Contact Centre course and/or qualification or experience preferable but not necessary
- Previous Telesales experience desirable but not necessary
- A can-do attitude
- Willingness to learn
