the role
The
Department of General Surgery at Christchurch Hospital are proud of the
services we deliver to the people of Canterbury and surrounding DHBs. We
are a dynamic and innovative team of 22 SMOs, 19 RMOs and 12 House Officers,
with a large administrative and nursing team.
This position involves a significant acute general surgery
commitment and the elective colorectal commitment (including colonoscopy), as part of a dynamic
team. The members of our Colorectal Surgical Department work closely together
in a collaborative and supportive environment, and function well as a team. All
the surgeons are involved in teaching, audit activities, clinical research and
CME.
In addition, Christchurch offers great lifestyle
opportunities. You will have access to the Canterbury culture and lifestyle,
including the diverse experience of all of the South Island, with its lakes,
mountains, vineyards and outdoor recreational opportunities. Popular activities
