**The role**:
The GM Science & Development is a senior leader within the organisation, managing a team of six and reporting to the CEO. You will be tasked with shaping and delivering the R&D approach for formulated and manufactured products. This will involve leading a centre of excellence to commercialise the best science and technology effectively and efficiently. Leadership will be across three primary disciplines: product formulation, scientific research and regulatory. The respective science fields are chemistry, biology, and toxicology.

**Who are we looking for?**
- We are looking for:_
- Tertiary qualifications (PhD, MSc) in a related field: chemistry, biotechnology, agrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, biology.
- 15 years + senior leadership experience in research and product development across a range of technical products.
- Proven results in leading world class product innovation and NPD process.
- Direct or transferrable knowledge of relevant regulations in NZ and Australia
- Strong people and organisation leader. A leader of leaders, with ability to develop, coach, mentor and direct.
- Excellent business acumen and commercially savvy.
- Advanced verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills. A team player who can work effectively cross functionally with internal and external stakeholders to improve service, resolve problems, reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- With stakeholders throughout both New Zealand and Australia you must be available to travel up to 20% of your time.
