If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to be Automotive Technician/Mechanic in our team. **Position Summary**: - Title: Automotive Technician / Mechanic - Wage: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour depending on experience and qualifications - Location: Penrose, Auckland - Employment Type: Permanent - Full-time - Hours of Work: 45 hours per week (30 hours guaranteed), from Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:30pm. An employee may be required to work on weekend and up to 52 hours per week. **Tasks include**: - Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately; - Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and update; - Perform hybrid battery diagnostics, servicing, and replacement; - Repair mechanical and electrical faults in motor vehicles and replace parts when required; - Utilise diagnostic tools and scanning equipment to identify faults and performance issues. - Conduct routine maintenance and general mechanical work as needed to ensure road worthiness and longevity; - Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards at the workshop; - Provide high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service; - Contribute to weekly "toolbox meetings" and company policies and procedures. - Relevant qualification (Level 4 qualification in Automotive Engineering or above); or at least three year of relevant experience as automotive technician/mechanic. - Must have a full clean New Zealand driver’s licence - Experience with hybrid vehicle and batteries diagnostics. - Flexibility to work all shifts including weekends and public holidays (as may be required) - Professional approach. - Ability to work under pressure. - Ability to work individually and as a team. - Organisational and time management skills. - Excellent attention to detail. - Analytical thinking. - Precision. - Proactive.
