As a Buying Lead you’ll be leading terms and product cost negotiations with Suppliers as part of one of Foodstuffs North Island key strategic projects.
**About the role**
Think procurement with a heap of buying, mixed in with category, retail and a whole load of insights and you are on your way to understanding this diverse and exciting role. This is about creating a partnership rather than laying out terms.
As one of the key negotiators for $3Bn of purchases over the next three years, you’ll be working with the category and customer insights team to integrate the negotiation strategy with information from the customer driven transformation to achieve targeted outcomes.
This is a senior role where you’ll facilitate the formal terms and buying agreements with suppliers across the business.
**About you**
Having negotiated for a living for some time, you’ll have a high level of commercial acumen along with the ability to form strong alliances with key stakeholders. You’ll have a diverse set of skills that will allow you to analyse large sets of data, have a high level of attention to detail while being able to see the bigger picture. System savvy, you’ll be confident working in a retail/FMCG environment.
