Full time
**Mechanic**
- Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately
- Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade
- Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts)
- Schedule future maintenance sessions
- Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues (e.g. leaks)
- Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job
- Keep logs on work and issues
- Maintain equipment and tools in good condition
- Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
- Ability to handle various tools and heavy equipment
**Panel Beater**
- Maintain and service vehicles for interior and exterior appearance
- Provide tire and battery replacement services
- Co-ordinate with other mechanics on vehicles
- Perform minor electrical and climate control repairs
- Raise & lower cars & maintain workshop area
- Carry out all repairs, if necessary, using own tools
- Maintain workshop area clean and tidy
- Carry out general cleaning duties
- Attend to all vehicles repairs and assist other workshop staff as required
**Automotive Painter**
- Operates and uses all body shop equipment properly and safely.
- Removes rust from metal, and grease and dirt from work surface.
- Masks and protects parts that are not to be painted or coated.
- Fills cavities and dents with putty to attain smooth surface.
- Paints surface using sprayer or brush as appropriate.
- Inspects painted units for quality of workmanship, noting any runs, sags and unpainted areas.
- Heats and sprays wax onto products after they are tested.
- Maintains tools and keeps equipment clean and in a proper state of repair.
- Keeps work area clean.
- Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment
- Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners, and other hazardous materials
These are full-time positions with guaranteed hours of at least 30 hours per week.
