**About the opportunity**

Our Clandeboye site is one of Fonterra’s largest sites, employing over 1000 people. It is also home to one of the biggest dryers in the world, capable of producing 28 metric tonnes of whole milk powder every hour. During peak season our Clandeboye site produces up to 13 million litres of milk every day.

The size, scale and dynamic nature of our Inventory operation is a fast paced and exciting environment to be in and we’re looking for an experienced Inventory Specialist who would love to join us.

As an integral member of our national NZ Manufacturing Stores team, you’ll be supporting our Maintenance Teams while supervising the stores team that support and enable both our Clandeboye and Studholme sites.

You’ll be responsible for providing first line support to the workshop team through the timely provision of parts, and maintenance of inventory records using ERP systems, to ensure the right parts are available at the right time. There are also plenty of projects to get your teeth into depending on what you enjoy.

Core responsibilities include:

- Leading and motivating Inventory team members to achieve organisational goals
- Inventory reporting to meet customer and business demands
- Implementing and training on improved inventory processes to optimise inventory and deliver value.
- Inventory management processes and operational compliance
- Building strong key internal stakeholder and external vendor relationships
- Ordering and returning parts as requested
- Receiving and unloading of freight, cycle counting and stocktaking the stores

**About you**

To be successful in this role you will be a real go-getter who has the ability to work independently and the drive to make things happen. You will have sound experience with ERP systems, accuracy with figures and a high level of attention to detail.

Other key skills include:

- People supervisory or team lead experience
- Competent with SAP or ERP systems and an intermediate level of MS Excel skills.
- Inventory management experience
- Hazardous substance knowledge
- Excellent communication skills
- Full NZ drivers Licence
- F endorsement and OSH certificate would be an advantage
