Sampling Specialist

**The Role**

Right now, we have an exciting opportunity for a Sampling Specialist to join our Canterbury team based at our Dunsandel manufacturing site.

You will be responsible for a variety of sampling tasks within the laboratory team. These include - subsampling of final product manufactured in the plants, sampling of raw materials (ingredients and packaging) prior to use in the manufacturing plants, processing in process samples and performing other sampling requests as required by sales, product release, technical and other teams.

This position will also be required to train other staff, maintain the environment of the sampling rooms at the required level of hygiene, perform other quality tasks and update procedures as required.

**Skills and Experience**:
**Qualifications**
- Minimum of NCEA L3 in Science is desirable.
- The above qualification in science (e.g. Microbiology and Chemistry) is an advantage.

**Experience**
- Worked in a dairy industry or a food industry, preferably with sampling experience will be an advantage
- Knowledge of hygiene practice in a food or dairy industry will be an advantage
- Having worked in laboratory will be an advantage
- Knowledge of sample registration in a laboratory for testing will be an advantage
