**New World Porirua currently seeks a Storeperson to join our friendly and hardworking team. Attention to detail, speed and accuracy are a must in this role. Immediate Start.**
**The Person**:
You will be passionate about working within one of the most critical points in our supply chain, you will be diligent in your work, and you will be organized and methodical. You will take initiative when it comes to problem solving. You will be a team player and recognize the importance of running a smooth operation. You will be extremely reliable and be flexible to the demands of the role.

**The Job**:
The storeroom is the heart of our operation. Speed, organization and accuracy ensure that the heart continues to beat. Your role will be to ensure that all incoming goods are received in a safe and timely manner; you will follow receiving procedures using SAP. You will be responsible for allocating deliveries to their respective departments with the correct paperwork attached.

You will ensure that perishable stock is prioritized; here you will need to follow Food Safety procedures for temperature checking and rejection of bad stock. You will be responsible for your own processes, such as credit processing, raising credit requests and notifying suppliers of missing stock.

You will follow all Health & Safety procedures and will enforce these with your team members, suppliers, merchandisers and store visitors. You will be responsible for daily record keeping ensuring that equipment is in good working order such as the forklift, reach truck and storeroom racking. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and tidy work space including the store yard and refuse areas for general waste and recycling.

**The Requirements**:

- Current forklift license preferred but training can be arranged
- Experience using SAP or experience in storerooms & warehousing
- Physically fit and able to lift 20kgs
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Computer literate

**The Hours**:
Monday - Friday

6.30am - 3.00pm
