**The opportunity**
Join a dedicated team of specialists who provide auditing and certification services throughout NZ
We have a rare opportunity available for a Trainee Engineering Auditor to join our Horticulture, Food & Dairy business. This role works closely with our New Zealand Dairy industry customers, to carry out audits and checks, ensuring compliance standards are met. With a specific focus on heat treatment the Trainee Engineer ensures that our customers are pasteurising their products to make it safe for consumption. They also carry out premises evaluations, to ensure dairy products are manufactured in a hygienic and safe environment.
**About you**:
We require someone who has great interpersonal skills, balanced with strong technical knowledge to work with our customers to deliver timely, accurate and efficient service.
To be successful in this role you will require:

- Food or dairy experience - heat pasteurisation preferred
- Tertiary level qualification in Food Science or Engineering (Chemical or Processing) or a Dairy related diploma
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to build and maintain rapport with all stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Highly organised and results driven
- A proactive approach to work

With training provided, this role would suit someone who is a fast learner and can hit the ground running. **Note**:The nature of this role requires someone who is comfortable travelling for work. This role services the Central North Island, so it would be ideal for someone who is Waikato based.
