We are looking for a skilled Cook to prepare delicious meals according to menu. You will cook dishes that will delight our customers with their taste and timely delivery.

An excellent cook must be able to follow instructions in cooking and delivering well-prepared meals. They must be deft in moving around the kitchen and apt in multi-tasking. Experience in using various ingredients and cooking techniques is also important.

The goal is to help preserve and enhance our reputation so we can expand our clientele.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Employ food safety best practices and makes sure that all kitchen staff members do the same
- Act with appropriate caution in a dangerous environment where there are knives and high-temperature surfaces
- Select choice ingredients that will give dishes the best flavour
- Preparation of tandoori and Indian dishes and curries.
- Seasoning, preparing, cooking food and placing it on serving dishes or takeaway containers.
- Storing food in temperature
- controlled facilities.
- Controlling portion sizes in accordance with food specifications.
- Checking deliveries including the temperature, weight and expiry dates on raw ingredients.
- Keep a sanitised and orderly environment in the kitchen.
- Work quickly and accurately during busy periods, such as weekends and evenings.
- Occasionally take on extra duties when the kitchen is short-staffed or the restaurant is particularly busy..
- Take direction and work with the restaurant's administrative team.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Qualification in the Culinary Arts OR 1 year experience in a kitchen environment
- A good understanding of Indian dishes
- Experience in Curry and Tandoori dishes
- Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)
- Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
- A desire to learn new flavours and techniques
- The capability to work safely, efficiently and neatly
- Willingness to work nights and weekends
- Comfortable working long shifts
- Current place of residence
