The National Public Health Service (NPHS) within Te Whatu Ora, work towards Pae Ora (healthy futures) for all by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people's health, focusing on oranga/wellbeing, prevention, protection, and population-level intervention. We are connected across boundaries to deliver public health services that are nationally planned, regionally delivered and locally tailored.
We have a permanent, full-time opportunity available to join our national learning and development team as **Coordinator - Public Health Medicine Registrars Programme**.***
Reporting to the National Manager, Learning & Development (L&D) of the NPHS, and working closely with the Public Health Medicine Specialist within the National Public Health Service (NPHS) Transformation Team, this position is focused on
- creating a systematic and coordinated employment and placement model for public health medicine registrars across the health system, while supporting their ongoing workplace-based professional development.
- supporting the L&D team in broader learning and development work.

**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
- Prior health sector experience, ideally in public health.
- An understanding of medical specialty training programmes, ideally including public health medicine
- Relevant learning and development experience, ideally including public health
- Experience in leading the implementation of a significant development programme of work
- Knowledge and experience of working with HR, OD, ER systems
