Healthcare Assistant

Northbridge Lifecare Trust is a warm and friendly Village/rest home and hospital where our aim is to provide excellence in aged care. We are looking for a Night Healthcare Assistant to help care for our residents as you would care for your own beloved family.

**ABOUT US**
We are a not-for-profit retirement village based in Northcote. We provide accommodation security for the elderly, with great apartments, wonderful facilities, gardens and a modern hospital and rest home facility. We care for each other whether we are trustees, employees or residents living here. That’s unique, and it makes us unique, it’s who we are.

**THE ROLE**
As someone who has a strong passion for helping & caring for people. You will be:

- Providing excellent care and assistance towards our residents.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living while maintaining privacy, dignity and individuality.
- Following company protocol and creating a safe environment for the residents and team.

**ABOUT YOU**
This role will require someone with an enthusiastic nature and **Skills & Experience** that will be a strong support to the team.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Health Care Assisting or nursing experience within an aged care facility
- Be able to work collaboratively with Registered Nurses and Doctors in a team-leading role
- Be fit, hard-working, reliable and **flexible with availability on days, times and hours, including weekends**:

- Have a genuine interest in quality care of the elderly
- Be prepared to participate in Dementia Training
- Possess Patience, kindness and a mature approach
- Be enthusiastic and supportive
- Be someone open to instruction who works well with your peers and managers
- Able to work Night Shifts
