Yachting Developments builds international award-winning Super Yachts.If you are a skilled Furniture Finisher or Spray Painter or French Polisher this could be your chance to be part of the Super Yacht industry. These beautiful vessels are quite special, they are bespoke, hand made and custom built from the ground up right here at our premises based in Hobsonville, Auckland. Every boat we build is unique and different, every day at work is different, (No repeats) Due to growth and significant forward orders we are looking for skilled Furniture Finishers / Skilled Furniture Spray Painters or French Polishers to join our energetic Team. Over the coming years the role will include construction of 30m+ carbon composite Sports Fisher Superyachts and 30m+ Sailing Yachts, all very impressive projects This is a long term, stable employment opportunity and the chance to be part of the Superyacht industry. **If you like boats, this could be your Dream Job** No Previous boatbuilding experience required as this is a role in our furniture finishing department. Ideally you will have previous experience in the Furniture Finishing / Spray Painting / varnishing including sanding / preparation process through to the final finished clear coated (Varnish) or pigmented product. Applicants with French Polishing experience will also be considered for the role. Hours of work are tailored to miss the traffic,**6.30am or 7.00 am to 3.30 pm, Monday to Friday,**with easy motorway access and lots of free parking on-site. K**ey Responsibilities in this role**: - Understand the level of finish required - Achieve the level of finish required - Follow approved procedures for paint process - Carry out installation and finishing touch onboard vessel - Ensure high quality standards are met - Ensure finish product is protected **Key Skills required for the role**: - Flexible "Can do" attitude - Practical hands on approach to finding solutions - Experience as a Furniture Finisher / Spray Painter - Skilled use of hand tools - High standard of workmanship and excellent attention to detail - Ability to plan work to meet the deadlines specified for each job - Experience working with a wide variety of natural timbers - A very good command of the English language.
