The busy Waitomo Homestead team are looking for fixed-term, part-time Kitchen Hand to join the team.

We’re currently looking for fixed-term Kitchen Hands to join our Food & Beverage team at Waitomo Homestead. If you thrive in a fast-paced, friendly environment and love being part of a team that takes pride in great service—this could be your next adventure.

What you’ll be doing
This is an entry-level role with plenty of variety. You’ll support the Food & Beverage Manager and wider team to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes and out front.
**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Cleaning food prep areas, cooking surfaces, and equipment.
- Maintaining hygiene and safety standards across the café and kitchen.
- Performing basic food preparation tasks and assisting with plating.
- Restocking fridges and unpacking deliveries using stock rotation.
- Clearing tables, keeping the café, and surrounding areas tidy.
- Occasionally taking orders and serving customers.
- Following café policies and manufacturer guidelines for equipment.
- Participating in team meetings and health & safety practices.
