We are looking for someone who is keen to join our team who has a passion for rehabilitation. We are open to applicants from Rehab Physicians who want to come permanently. But if you are wanting to come for a shorter term to experience working and living in New Zealand, while taking this opportunity to help us grown and enhance patient care we would love to hear from you too. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who wants to come to impart their knowledge and skills to junior doctors and the MDT in the rehab setting.

We have a dedicated inpatient unit for rehabilitation at Kenepuru Hospital in Kenepuru, and provide outpatient clinic follow up for patients who have been through the unit as well as for those living with disabilities in the community who require your specialty skills and knowledge. This role would work alongside another SMO and together you would cover the inpatient and outpatient clinical load; as well as the teaching responsibilities.

Te Whatu Ora - Capital Coast and Hutt Valley are currently working through a change in model where we are looking at service provision across the district and you will have an opportunity to contribute to this change and help shape future rehabilitation service models in our district.

**Mō tō mātou rōpū - About our team**

You will be part of the Older Adult, Rehabilitation and Allied Health SMO team, which delivers care across the Inpatient, Outpatient and Community Settings of care. This role also has you working within a team, the MDT - s in the inpatient ward or in the community alongside community and outpatient based MDT - s to support the skills and knowledge. Across the rehab continuum there a specialty nursing and allied health rehabilitation clinicians who work in partnership with people and whanau to deliver clinical care.

**Moū - About you**
- Vocationally registered in Internal Medicine with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ)
- FRACP or equivalent qualification and be able to register for vocational registration with the MCNZ
- Rehabilitation medicine for adults (16 and upwards)
- Work in collaboration with multidisciplinary team
- Able to provide consistently high standards of medical care
- Relevant experience and training
