Tug Master

Heron Construction is a family-owned business with over 50 years successfully delivering marine construction projects around New Zealand. We operate a fleet of tugs and barges supporting construction and dredging projects at ports and marinas around NZ. Our projects range from the far north to the deep south so there is a busy workload for the fleet transporting material and supplying on water support to a wide variety of projects - there is no such thing as a typical day or typical voyage. We manage the fleet with the use of a computerised maintenance management/ fleet management system on each of our vessels, and are committed to maintaining high standards of reliability, as well as flexibility and reputation within our industry. Heron operates five core tugs - multi-cats, coastal and ocean-going - ranging in length from 20m to 26m and power up to 2230kW giving the Master a variety of vessels to operate. If you are a tug Master with the following attributes, we want to hear from you: - Ideally a Master < 500GT NC - Ideally 5 years as a coastal Tug Master, or less if competence in all aspects can be demonstrated - Has or had a pilot exemption certificate for Auckland Harbour
