**Mō te Tūranga | About the Role**
You'll work at the intersection of data, technology, and risk, helping to:
- Design, implement, and fine-tune transaction monitoring rules using SQL and other tools.
- Analyse large datasets to identify patterns and anomalies that could indicate suspicious activity.
- Collaborate with ICT and data teams to enhance system performance and rule effectiveness.
- Lead post-implementation reviews and threshold tuning to ensure optimal detection.
- Contribute to the development of standards, documentation, and governance practices.
**Mōu** **| About You**
- A data analyst, developer, or systems specialist with 3+ years of experience in data-driven environments.
- Proficient in SQL and comfortable working with large datasets and complex systems.
- Experienced in system design, testing, and documentation—bonus if you've worked with monitoring or alerting systems.
- A strong communicator who enjoys solving problems and collaborating across teams.
- Curious about financial crime and eager to learn how your skills can help protect people and businesses.
