Sales Team Member: Garden Decor

Mitre10 Mega Nelson is looking to employ 2 new team members for the Outdoor Garden Décor department, the area of the business responsible for garden hardware and décor items such as plant pots, water features, and accessories, wheelbarrows, potting mix, and other items used in the garden. There is lots of lifting of pots, water features, potting mix and other garden materials so applicants must be aware there is heavy lifting element to these roles. There are 2 roles available at the moment in this department - one role full time 40 hours per week, spread over 5 days and including a weekend day. The second role is part time - 24 hours per week spread over 3 days and including 1 weekend day. Reporting to the Outdoor Garden Décor Coordinator, your duties, required skills and experience are focused on:
Growing sales by providing exceptional customer service
Maintaining high merchandising standards & managing stock
Working closely & providing assistance in other departments if required

Skills & Experience:

- Excellent communication skills;
- Willingness to learn and be solutions driven;
- Knowledge about garden hardware and associated products such as fertilizers and plant food will be an advantage;
- Although not essential, having a valid forklift license will be an advantage. As a minimum you must possess a full drivers license.
