**Job Description**:
**Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**
The School of Nursing is looking for an Associate Professor Nurse Practitioner (NP) to coordinate the Nurse Practitioner Programme. This role will involve leading a team of Nurse Practitioners who currently teach, deliver and mentor on the programme. The role will include a strong interface with all NP stakeholders, ongoing advice to potential NP students and initiative and resourcefulness that ensures the ongoing development and continuation of a robust NP programme. In addition to the coordination role there will be potential for teaching, examining and mentoring of students within a supportive NP team. The role also includes time to continue and develop relevant Nursing research.
The available position is part time. The School of Nursing is productive and innovative and strives to provide the most relevant and up to date nursing education possible for its students. There is also the opportunity for you to be involved in curriculum innovations, and research activities within the School.
The role may involve occasional travel to deliver teaching or conduct student examinations outside of Auckland.
This is a permanent part time role. The salary for this role is $157,822 per annum prorated.

**Qualifications**:
**He kōrero mōu | About you**
- Have teaching experience and a current and relevant clinical background.
- Hold a Doctoral level qualification.
- Hold registration with the Nursing Council in the registered nurse scope of practice (Nurse Practitioner)
- Have experience in facilitating student learning, supervising and assessing students’ work and evaluating course content and delivery.
