Our client is a leading and award-winning investment advisory organisation with a national footprint of established offices and well-regarded compliance and risk team.

This role has come about due to an internal promotion in the team.

In this role, you will assist the senior members of the compliance and risk team in maintaining the risk management framework including assurance programs, compliance training and transaction monitoring and reporting.

This is a broad role in a financial services organisation of this size. You will:

- Maintain effective compliance communication in the organisation championing standards of conduct whilst keeping up to date with new and existing compliance and risk issues
- You will maintain detailed records and registers
- You will assist in administering non-compliance and risk incidents
- Be involved in providing compliance and risk management guidance in projects
- Conduct ad-hoc compliance training sessions
- Transaction monitoring

**About you**:
You will maintain effective internal and external stakeholder relationships which include the FMA and other regulatory bodies whilst observing the compliance environment. You will also be a keen fast learner who involves themselves in undertaking training to ensure up to date knowledge of the relevant regulatory obligations constantly. You will also be able to think on your feet and grow into the role to be able to take discretionary decision-making in this role.

A tertiary qualification in law or accounting is preferable complemented with at least 2 years of experience in the financial services industry. Good attention to detail with an analytical mindset coupled with good numeracy skills is essential. Your strong verbal and written skills will be essential as you will be communicating at all levels in the organisation.
