Applications are invited for the position of Head of Department of the haematology laboratory based at Hawke's Bay Hospital.
Hawke's Bay Hospital has approximately 400 beds and provides acute and elective care for the Hawke's Bay region. We have Primary and Community health services and support a collaborative approach to health and health care.
This is a senior technical and management role within our laboratory. The person will be part of the senior laboratory management team, and will also liaise with pathologists and clinical staff as required.
The successful applicant will be an experienced scientist, and be registered or hold an appropriate qualification for registration, with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand, be customer focused, with strong management skills and experience, good team building and interpersonal skills, and highly motivated to deliver a high quality service within a great team environment.
