Due to an increase in our delivery of Te Reo Māori programmes, we have a vacancy to teach Rumaki Reo Level 6 at our Manukau Campus in Māngere.
**ABOUT THE ROLE**
Te Aupikitanga is a full immersion programme, so fluency in te reo Māori is a requirement. Your tauira will be flowing on from their level 5 journey and be preparing for their Level 7 journey through Te Aupikitanga. Not only will you be the Kaiako, but you will be the Kaitiaki of these learners in their reo journey.
**You will deliver the programme through**:
- Kura Whakaako - Face to face delivery
- One day Wānanga - Whole day, face to face delivery
- Noho Marae - residential (overnight) sessions based on a Marae (or relevant)
- Activity directed learning - work provided for learning without a Kaiako
This means that you will need to be available for some weekend work, and overnight commitments e hoa.
**ABOUT YOU**
You are matatau Māori, maybe you've just finished Pīnakitanga, or you are moving up from Kura Kaupapa, and have had experience teaching, or have the desire to contribute to the revitalisation of te reo Māori.
**Ideally, you will**:
- Hold a Bachelor's degree level 7 in Te Reo Māori (or higher)
- Have experience in teaching adults, although we want to hear from anyone who has a passion for te reo Māori and teaching
- Be able to converse fluently in Te Reo Māori
- Hold a clean, Full NZ Driver License
- Be flexible and available for some weekend work, and overnight commitments
