Using your specialist speech language therapy skills and experience you will help maximise learning and promote social inclusion for children and young people with learning support needs.

About you
**The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate**:
- The successful applicant will be able to work effectively across both school and early childhood sectors.
- The successful applicant will have a working knowledge of our Learning Support Delivery Model.
- Responsibilities will include working with children and young people, their parents, caregivers, whānau, educators and other Learning Support personnel in delivering speech and language services.
- Excellent teaming, interpersonal and communication skills are essential as is an ability to work in a culturally sensitive manner.
- Competence in Te Reo Māori me ona tikanga and be able to weave this expertise into the work of Learning Support as a speech language therapist.
- Skills in working with children with complex learning/communication needs and knowledge of the early childhood and/or school curriculum are an advantage.
- A full current driver's license is essential.
As speech-language therapy is a self-regulated profession through the New Zealand Speech-language Therapists' Association, all applicants must be eligible for NZSTA membership.
Applicants who qualified through a New Zealand university programme are automatically eligible.
Overseas applicants who gained their speech-language therapy qualification outside New Zealand are only eligible if they have had their qualifications approved by NZSTA through Mutual Recognition of Credentials Agreement (MRA)or Qualifications Approval Process.
If you have not had your qualifications approved or are not in the process of having your qualifications approved, we will be unable to shortlist you for this position.
