Our client is one of the leading producers in food production. They supply food to supermarkets, cafes and restaurants. They operate as a critical business during the traffic light system and will continue to supply NZ's grocery stores during this time.

Based in Silverstream, Upper Hutt in a state of the art facility you will become part of the family and have every chance to upskill yourself along the way.

**About The Role**

This is a key role in which you are responsible for achieving high standards - the quality of products depends on you. Ideally you would have FMCG experience

You'll be involved in;
- Preparing and weighing up ingredients
- Working on the production line
- Packing and stacking
- Safe and efficient operation of production machinery
- Ensuring we produce high quality products to company standards
- Cleaning and sanitation of production areas and equipment
- Basic preventative maintenance of machinery
- Following all hygiene, health and safety and food safety requirements

They are on a journey to introduce an 8-hour shift pattern (mornings, afternoons, nights) and currently operate with a combination of 12-hour shifts (day or night shift) across four days, as well as having some 8-hour shifts over five days. Paying up to $23p/h

**Key requirements**
- Reliable and punctual with a good attendance history
- For the 12 hour shifts you'll need a car and license (as public transport doesn't operate at the current 12-hour shift start/end times)
- Positive attitude and willingness to go above and beyond
- Manufacturing experience
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Physically fit; this is an active role. You'll be on your feet and regular manual handling is part of the role.
- Be an excellent communicator, with good written and spoken English
