**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

Cardiovascular services at Te Toka Tumai Auckland provide cardiac care to a local and national population.

The Cardiac Ultrasound Department at Auckland are looking for a **qualified and experienced Cardiology** registered nurse to be based in the Echo Department within Cardiovascular Services. We offer an exciting challenge practicing the latest in Nursing and Medical research/evidenced-based care. We will provide you with full orientation and on-going support to help you succeed in the role.

As a part of the sonographer team, you will provide nursing care to patients undergoing Echo, TOE, and other ultrasound procedures such as Dobutamine Stress Echo within the department. You will assist in patient flow in/out of the department by providing nurse escort transfers between areas as required. This position reports to NUM Cardiology and will be part of the Cardiology nursing workforce. The role will have a strong patient safety and quality focus within the Echo Department to contribute to review of local nursing SOPs policies and procedures.
