**YMCA Education **has a permanent, **40 hours per week** vacancy for a **Lead Tutor.**

We offer programmes and services that make a real change in our Rangatahi lives and provides a wide range of learning opportunities to motive them to academic achievement. We are looking for someone who is passionate and motivated to join our team in Palmerston North. Someone who is able to deliver high quality services with a YMCA values driven approach. The person we are looking for has the ability to change lives through learning and the ability to provide quality education.

Applicants will need the following attributes:

- Experience working with and the ability to relate with rangatahi.
- An understanding of adult learning
- Unit standard 4098 and the National Certificate in Adult Literacy and Numeracy Education Level 5 or willing to study to achieve
- Understanding of the Youth Guarantee Training Scheme
- Ability to engage and motivate/inspire young people from diverse backgrounds.
- High standard of professionalism and integrity.
- Knowledge and understanding of NZ education standards including NZQA and Moderation
- Full driver’s licence and the ability to drive a manual is essential.
- Strict adherence to health and safety standards and procedures.
- Excellent organisation, time management skills and/or experience in people management.
- Strong administration, communication and computer skills.
- First aid certificate or willing to obtain one.
