Join Our Team as a Café Assistant
Working across the Discover Waitomo business at Waitomo Glowworm Caves and Black Water Rafting you will need to have a well-rounded understanding of our world-famous products on offer to our manuhiri (visitors).
**About the role**:
Support the Food & Beverage Manager in the Waitomo Glowworm Cave Visitor Centre F&B department to ensure the delivery of a high-quality product and exceptional customer service.
The team is looking for Casual Cafe Assistant’s to jump aboard and join our Waitomo Glowworm Caves café. You'll quickly find that working here is an experience in itself. You'll build relationships with lots of new people and have the opportunity to try out the different activities we offer, such as rafting and other cave tours.

**About you**:

- Preferably a recognised qualification or experience in hospitality.
- Reliable transport to get to and from shifts.
- High standard of personal presentation and hygiene.
- Willing to learn and strong work ethic.
- Must be available on a 7-day rotating roster.

**Requirements/Skills**:

- Your key responsibilities would be to provide excellent customer service, food and beverages to our visitors.
- Excellent numeracy and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to work under pressure and ability to use own initiative.
- Successful time management skills.
- Friendly, reliable, trustworthy, and honest.
