Machinery Opreator

We are looking for Machinery Operators who can operate Fork lifts, Tractors or other agricultural machinery equipment for our orchards. You will report to the orchard Manager and should be comfortable working alone for long hours, minimum of 30-40 hours per week guaranteed.Core Duties include but are not limited to the following:Position -Tractor Driver1. Operating specialist nursery equipment.

2. The safe and responsible operation of tractors and machinery.

3. Ensuring machinery is set up and calibrated to correct specifications prior to use in order to produce required result

4. Regular monitoring and checkig of machinery when in operation to ensure job is being carried out within required specifications at all times.

5. Daily basic tractor machinery maintenance including greasing, air filter and fluid levels.

6. Trimming across all Field Operation crops.

8. Mechanical weeding across all crops.

9. Weed spraying - within all company blocks, along boundaries, fence lines, drains and around outhouses and building areas.

10. Mowing - Within ALL company blocks and along boundaries and outside perimeters.

11. Ground Prep - deep ripping, power harrow, rotary hoe, discing, cultivating etc.12. Plastic Laying - Preparing beds for planting of all crops at Nursery sites.

13. Lifting - Operation of specialist horticultural equipment and Lifting machine to harvest Field Grown Plants.

14. Small Truck driving - Transportation and cartage of gear to and from Blocks.

15. General tractor driving duties to assist field crew as necessary.

16. Responsible for carrying out regular maintenance and repairs of tractors and other farm implements

17. Reporting any faults or concerns to the Farm Manager

18. Remaining alert while driving and servicing the tractor, and maintaining the appropriate speed limit at all times

19. Ensuring that the tractor is kept clean, tidy and in good working condition when not in operation

20. Assist the Admin Officer to ensure insurance and registration is updated according to schedule

21. Log official trips, daily mileage, gas consumption, oil changes etc from time to time22. Carry out any activities as assigned by the Management TRACTOR DRIVER

REQUIREMENTS:

- The ability to identify and react appropriately to hazards
- The ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Can do attitude
- We will assist to for license conversion for tractor and forklift

**Salary**: From $30.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift
