Mō te tūranga - About the role
As a Senior Associate, Insights, you will be responsible for supporting origination alongside Relationship Managers and Product Partners, as part of a small team of corporate finance experts, known to be a “Centre of Excellence”.
This team is at the forefront of thought leadership and developing views based on market, industry sector, capital and liquidity themes, to drive tactical discussions and new revenue opportunities.
The role is charged with supporting the delivery of high-quality pitch presentations to our top Institutional customer base and influencing key decision makers (from CEOs to Treasurers) to ultimately position ANZ as the “trusted advisor”.

**In a typical day or week, you will be**:
Creating strategic and insightful content for clients, to pre-position and secure new / added-value business across a variety of engagements and banking products (including capital structuring, funding profile & strategic opportunities assessment, shadow credit rating analysis, acquisition financing, loan and debt capital markets, ESG financing, structured products).
Providing insights and analysis, both qualitative and quantitative, to include in high quality pitch presentations.
Contribute to client account planning/strategic idea generation within each of Institutional’s industry segment groups, developing a proactive approach to identification of value-added opportunities.
Collaborate and work with other members of the global Insights team, and constantly be seeking best practice.
Contributing to a high performing culture with integrity, empathy and positivity.
Ōu Pūkenga? - What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Skilled in corporate finance analysis and financial modelling; a sound understanding of financial statements, the drivers of financial performance and banking product knowledge.
Familiarity with global market conditions and strategic issues faced by clients across industry segments, including competitor activity, industry trends, industry and client research.
A willingness to co-generate ideas, seize the opportunity and deliver solutions.
Ability to manage multiple engagements and client requests at the same time.
Strong presentation & communication skills, and attention to detail.
5+ years of relevant corporate finance or corporate relationship banking experience.
A tertiary qualification / Bachelor Degree, with qualifications relating to Financial Services and additional industry qualifications highly regarded (e.g. CFA, Master of Finance, MBA).
