We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Café Manager to lead our team. Reporting directly to the business owners, the Café Manager will be responsible for the **full management**, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, high service standards, and strong team leadership. **About the Role**
We’re looking for a capable and passionate **Café Manager** to lead our team and help shape the future of our business. You’ll work closely with the owners, to run the cafe for this role you have to have the knowledge as barista ,as baker or chef and with strong customer service skills and marketing skills to actively participate in community outreach, events, and growing the café’s reputation and impact.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Plan menus in consultation with cooks, incorporating seasonal items and customer preferences.
- Organise and manage special functions and in-store events, including community engagements in line with mall standards.
- Arrange the purchasing of stock and supplies, including food, beverages, and café equipment, ensuring pricing is within set budgetary limits.
- Oversee daily stock control, manage supplier relationships, and maintain accurate records of inventory levels and financial transactions.
- Ensure compliance with all health and food safety regulations, and maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming café environment.
- Handle customer complaints and feedback professionally, ensuring a high standard of service is maintained.
- Select, train, and supervise café staff including kitchen and front-of-house team members, ensuring performance meets service standards.
- Manage staff rosters, monitor team performance, and support professional development.
- Take reservations, greet customers, assist in taking orders when needed, and ensure a positive customer experience throughout their visit.
- Manage daily cash handling, EFTPOS transactions, and bank reconciliations.
- Monitor café financial performance including daily sales reports, cost control, and profit margins.
- Maintain knowledge of specialty coffee beans and teas to support customer engagement and staff training.
- Resolve operational issues promptly and work efficiently under pressure to ensure uninterrupted service.
- Strong barista skills and an eye for coffee presentation are advantageous.
- Basic baking or cooking knowledge is an added benefit for supporting kitchen operations when needed

**Minimum Requirements**
- At least 2 year of Cafe experience Or Level 5 of Business or Hospitality study in NZ.
- Barista and Baking skills will be advantage.
- Experience with food handling and customer service
- Strong leadership, working under pressure skills and customer service skills.
- Integrity, reliability, and a genuine love for coffee and community

Pay: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour
