**About the Role**

**Salary**: $122,570 - $127,720

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced pharmacist to join our team as an Expert Pharmacist for Intensive Care and High Dependency Units in Wellington. This is a permanent, full-time role, 40 hours per week.

Wellington Regional Hospital provides specialist services to Critical Care patients from across the Central Region. This position will provide a clinical pharmacy service to patients in Intensive Care and High Dependency Units in Wellington, will participate in long term projects related to critical care, and will also provide support for critical care colleagues in the Central Region, as well as being part of our team providing dispensary cover once a week.

It is essential that applicants possess Critical care clinical pharmacy experience, knowledge and skill. Experience of hospital pharmacy in New Zealand is highly desirable.

**About the Team/Service/Location**

The pharmacy team is well respected by clinicians, nursing staff, and senior management across the organisation, and is constantly looking at ways to improve the service and care it delivers. We provide a comprehensive pharmacy service throughout to the Capital Coast and Hutt Valley District, which includes a clinical service, dispensary & logistics service, and a quality & risk service. There is also an aseptic production service at Capital & Coast Hospitals (Wellington & Kenepuru). Through these services, we aim to improve the quality and effectiveness of prescribing, supply and distribution of medicines throughout the Capital Coast and Hutt Valley District. Our teams value professional growth, and emphasizes clinical development and medicines optimization for our patients.

**About you**

We want to hear from you if you are an experienced hospital pharmacist with critical care experience, wanting to take the next step in your hospital career, particularly if you have previous experience in hospital pharmacy in New Zealand. You will be self-motivated with a broad clinical experience, be able to work autonomously and innovatively, as well as having the ability to form good working relationships with the multidisciplinary team. You will need to be registered as a pharmacist in NZ with a valid APC, or eligible to register.
