Health New Zealand - Lakes is seeking a Senior Medical Officer with a passion for Endocrinology and General Internal Medicine. This position is based at Rotorua Hospital and would join a Lakes wide team of 10+ Physicians.

Rotorua Hospital is a District General Hospital in one of the most spectacular regions of New Zealand - native bush, beautiful lakes and rivers, unique geothermal landscapes and some of the best mountain biking and walking/running trails in NZ. Rotorua is also the perfect place to explore all that the North Island has to offer - it is only an hour from the spectacular east coast beaches, and an hour from stunning Lake Taupō with Mount Ruapehu offering skiing, tramping, fishing and water sports.

The medical service consists of in-patient services, out-patient clinics at Rotorua and Taupo Hospital sites and community clinics. The successful applicants will have a strong team approach to clinical services delivered in liaison with General Practitioners, community agencies and local Iwi.

To be suitable for this position applicants must:

- hold or be eligible for Specialist (Vocational) registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand - click here for the MCNZ Registration Self-Assessment Tool
- provide an up to date CV, Cover Letter and 3 written references on an RP6 form

The above position comes with an attractive relocation remuneration package and CME allowance for successful long term and permanent appointments.
